The most expensive house currently on the market in the U.S. belongs to Candy Spelling, the widow of the famous Hollywood producer Aaron Spelling. The 56,500-square-foot mansion known as “The Manor” is located in the exclusive Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles and has a price tag of $150 million.
So how does Mrs. Spelling choose the California real estate professional cut out for the job? By leaving the decision up to her dog, of course!
Spelling told her security guards to bring her Wheaten Terrier, Madison, into the room each time she interviewed a candidate to see how the dog reacted. If Madison did not respond in a friendly manner, she crossed the real estate agent off the list.
After Candy and Madison’s interview process, Madison decided that Sally Forster Jones, an associate with Coldwell Banker Previews International in Beverly Hills, was the winner.
